‘Noel and Jennie,
We had an absolutely brilliant time and it really was a home from home.  We made many little trips to all the medieval villages and some days just enjoying the pool.  We particularly loved the farmers’ markets and the nearby village of Montaigu de Quercy was just lovely and the fact that the lake is so convenient to the cottages was just great. Glenn and Bridget deserve a special mention and were truly excellent with a lovely manner and very helpful with any query we had. I would have no hesitation in recommending the cottages.’ -Terry and Shirley

Thank you for allowing us to rent the cottages. It was a fantastic holiday. The accommodation was superb. We have fallen in love with the place, from the incandescent blue of the kingfishers hurtling along the stream at the bottom of the hill to the shooting stars. Once the euphoria has subsided we may contemplate buying a property in the region’ - John

Many thanks for your “welcome pack”…thoroughly enjoyed by us both. Our eldest son, Keith, managed to join us from Cologne and echoes our sentiments on a superb choice of holiday accommodation.

“From the moment one arrives at Le Mas, one is struck by the beauty and peace of the surroundings – the shackles of normal life begin to fall away immediately! The cottages exceeded our expectations both in terms of aesthetics, decorations, fixtures and fittings, and privacy – we were fortunate to be occupying both. The surrounding fields were ablaze with sunflowers and we had no doubt that we were en la belle France.

While we were there (last 2 weeks of August), we experienced a few days cloud and rain, but the remainder was idyllic, with temperatures reaching 39°C in the shade and varying only between 26°C and 28°C in the delightful swimming pool. If one likes the company of fellow countrymen, then the Café du Centre in Roquecor is definitely the place to go. The artisan boulanger in Montaigue de Quercy (a few minutes’ drive) makes wonderful croissants (especially des Amandes), whilst the hour’s drive to Cahors is well worth it, especially on market day (Saturday).
